The assembly Museo situado is a collective process of speech, cultural work and political intervention undertaken by residents of the neighborhood of Lavapiés. This unique enterprise takes place simultaneously inside, together with, from and beyond the Reina Sofía Museum, occupying and overwhelming the institution with a powerful stream of social energy. During the pandemic, Museo situado, not only has kept its virtual doors open, but it has intensified the level of activity, responding critically to current urgencies and setting up solidarity actions, showing that art is intimately bound to the caring of life.
